In the 1980s, Empire became the first to market a gas-fired heater that achieves 80-percent efficiency, and in 2006, Empire marketed the first vented gas fireplace to achieve 90-percent efficiency. The available lighting kit draws attention to the intricate details in the log set and brick liner – even when no fire is burning. You can enhance heat distribution with the optional variable-speed blower. Both the light and blower include dimmer controls.
